Fairytale Wishes Generator: Discover Three Magical Wishes
What would you wish for if a fairy godmother appeared at your door, a mysterious stranger offered you a bargain, or you discovered an enchanted object capable of granting three wishes?
Perhaps you would wish for a kingdom of your own, the return of a lost love, or the power to change your destiny. But in fairytales, wishes are rarely as simple as they seem. A wish for beauty might come at the cost of freedom. A wish for wealth could awaken an ancient curse. And a wish to live forever might become the greatest punishment of all.
Our Fairytale Three Wishes Generator invites you into a world of impossible desires, dangerous bargains and unexpected consequences. With hundreds of magical wishes to discover, you can choose a single wish to inspire your next story or challenge yourself to weave all three into an original fairytale.
Whether you're imagining a wicked witch's bargain, a desperate princess's secret wish or a magical gift that goes terribly wrong, every wish offers the beginning of a new adventure.

Three wishes. Endless possibilities. What happens when yours come true?
The Three Wishes Generator
Every fairytale begins with a wish. Choose one to inspire your story, or weave all three into a single fairytale.
How to Use the Three Wishes Generator
There are two ways to turn your wishes into a fairytale:
Choose One Wish: Generate three wishes and select the one that sparks your imagination. Who makes the wish? Why do they want it? And what happens when it comes true?
Use All Three Wishes: Challenge yourself to write a fairytale incorporating all three wishes. They might belong to one character, three different characters, or even three generations of the same family.
Not quite the wishes you were hoping for? Generate three new ones, or refresh individual wishes until you find a combination that inspires you.
What Makes a Good Fairytale Wish?
The most memorable fairytale wishes reveal something about the person making them. Some are driven by love, others by jealousy, desperation, ambition or revenge.
And, of course, the most interesting wishes often come with a price.
As you develop your story, consider:
The Wishmaker: Who makes the wish, and what do they desire most?
The Wish Granter: Is it a fairy, witch, genie, enchanted creature or something more sinister?
The Price: What must be sacrificed in exchange?
The Twist: What happens when the wish is granted in an unexpected way?
The Ending: Does the character get what they wanted, or discover they wanted the wrong thing all along?
Sometimes, the greatest fairytale begins with a wish that should never have been made.
Go Deeper into Fairytale Wishes
A wish can be the beginning of a magical adventure, a terrible mistake or a life-changing discovery. Once you've chosen your wishes, use these creative writing tips to explore the desires, dangers and unexpected consequences that make fairytale wishes so compelling.
◆ Explore the Desire Behind the Wish: What does your character truly want, and why? A wish for a golden crown might conceal a desperate need for acceptance, while a wish for eternal youth could reveal a fear of being forgotten.
◆ Give Every Wish a Price: Fairytale magic rarely comes without consequences. Perhaps a character must surrender a precious memory, sacrifice their voice or make a promise they cannot break. Consider whether the price is revealed before or after the wish is granted.
◆ Play with Unexpected Interpretations: What happens when a wish is granted literally rather than as intended? A character wishing never to be alone might find themselves followed by ghosts, while someone wishing to be loved by everyone could become a prisoner of their own popularity.
◆ Create Rules for Wish Magic: Who can grant wishes, and what are the limitations of their power? Perhaps wishes can only be made beneath a full moon, cannot undo death or must be spoken without hesitation. Clear magical rules create opportunities for clever twists and impossible choices.
◆ Make the Final Wish Matter: If your character receives three wishes, consider how each one changes their circumstances. The first might fulfil a desire, the second attempt to repair an unforeseen disaster, and the third force them to choose between everything they wanted and everything they have learned.
